This project consisted of the demolition of the very old existing stadium all the way down to the ground. As well as the removal of the existing overhead electrical distribution and demolition of all the existing switchgear that feed the Stadium and a portion of the existing campus classrooms. The project included the installation of new Grand Stand seating with a Press Box, restrooms, and ticket booth and support buildings with installation of a new 15KV Substation and new underground electrical distribution, new public address system, fire alarm systems and lighting as well as re-feeding the existing classrooms.  CSI received a NECA Award for Electrical Excellence for this project.

This project was constructed to support the final testing phase of the C-17 Military Cargo Plane. There were custom underground vaults installed with extensive utilities including 400 Hz power and communications which are used to power the plane and connect the plane to the extensive diagnostic test systems. The facility also included a new design/build lighting system which provided illumination for this 24/7 hour operation. CSI received a NECA Award for Electrical Excellence for this project.

This new K6 through K8 School was constructed and managed out of our Antelope Valley office. The school was constructed with the extensive use of integrated systems including high speed telecom and data wiring to all the class rooms. The school is currently the home to over 1,000 students in the Lancaster area. CSI received a NECA Award for Electrical Excellence for this project.

The construction on this project was performed on a design build basis. The courthouse serves as the Riverside County Superior Court division for the desert community of Blythe. The project includes two court rooms and a jail holding cell as well as public areas and administration offices. The building utilizes extensive surveillance video and electronic security systems designed and installed by CSI.

The project consisted of the complete demolition of the existing interiors and reconstruction to a new state of the art standard. The lobby area serves as the focal point for all visitors including government dignitaries. This project delivered to the customer under a design build construction format.

Design/Build installation of 560kW Photovoltaic System involving four separate arrays with inverters; roof mounted, fixed parking and parking shade mounting tracking array.  CSI performed the electrical engineering to coordinate with the strict requirements involved with the complex electrical system of a Telecom.  The building is an occupied high-profile building with strict working hours and conditions, CSI coordinated daily with the onsite team to minimize impact to building systems and occupants. CSI received a NECA Award for Electrical Excellence for this project.

3,600sq. ft. cafe and commons building at the existing Corporate Pointe campus in West Hills, CA. Scope of work includes site work, landscaping, water feature, and main promenade stairway.
The project received LEED Gold certification.

California State University, Northridge Science V-The new 90,000 sq. ft. Science Building consisted of four floors of Labs and classrooms, two lecture halls, and one 10,000 sp foot Vivarium. The new building was from the ground up requiring new electrical infrastructure with a new 300kW Generator.

The Disney Concert Hall is a landmark in the City of Los Angeles. The buildings complex lines and revolutionary design created some significant challenges for construction. CSI was called on for their expertise in the installation of all automated building and temperature controls on this project.

This project was an extensive remodel of the existing campus library as well as the 48,000 sq. ft. addition. The electrical work encompassed a completely new power distribution system including backup generator, new service and electrical panels, state of the art lighting including energy management controlled switching. The new addition included two levels below grade and three levels above. The project has been submitted for LEED-NC certification.

Installation of a 1.14 megawatt solar system including a Wattsun single axis tracker system. The system utilized 3,396 two hundred (280) watt panels and 500kw AE Solaron inverters. All combiner boxes and string wiring were collected through an extensive network of underground conduit and wiring. CSI was also involved on a design assist basis on this project.

This project consisted of the complete renovation and modernization of the lighting, lighting controls and supporting interiors of the one thousand seat ballroom in the downtown Hyatt. The project challenge involved the extensive lighting controls required by the hotel for sectionalizing the large room into smaller room configurations. The project was performed under a design build contract utilizing CSI’s in-house engineering staff.

This project consisted of a complete replacement of lighting, lighting controls and power systems within by-pass tunnel on the interstate 5 freeway. The tunnel had sustained major fire damage caused by a thirty car accident which necessitated the re-build. The project was completed on a design-build basis in a record nine working days utilizing a 24/7 schedule with a peak 50 man crew. CSI received a NECA Award for Electrical Excellence for this project.

This was a very fast paced project that consisted of a new 4000 amp distribution system including a 1250kW genset with automatic transfer switch feeding a UPS backup system for the main computer mainframe room. This project required extensive interaction with the Edison service planner and engineers to reroute the existing Edison duct banks and intercept vault locations to provide a dedicated feeder for the call center. This also included dedicated IT duct backs to the building with extensive seismic calculations and shop drawings required to support the major communication racks within the retrofitted IKEA building.

25,000 TI of an abandoned 2 story building to become a state of the art Medical Office Building, with onsite pharmacy and patient care. Complete switchgear replacement, new LADWP underground distribution and new site lighting.  We also provided Security/CCTV/Fire Alarm and Sound Masking systems.

The Los Angeles Clippers Training Center is a 42,000 sq. ft. State of the Art Facility which consists of two full NBA quality basketball courts and a 2600 sq foot Performance & Strengthening Training Room. The Training Center is located in Playa Vista area which proved a challenge due to environment issues and electrical infrastructure difficulties.

This design-build project included a complete electrical infrastructure upgrade; new service; and new generator to the 40 year old Los Angeles landmark.  The interior of the structure was demolished down to the frame to enable a new house and theatrical lighting system to be installed. The project was detailed in AutocCAD 3D and prefabricated at our main facility.  CSI received NECA’s highest project award for this project, the Prestige Award for Electrical Excellence.

The new 16,000 sq. ft. building was constructed utilizing Leed construction standards including extensive lighting controls and energy efficient fixtures. At completion, the project was awarded a Leed Silver rating with the USGBC. CSI received a NECA Award for Electrical Excellence for this project.

This new ground up seven story apartment complex is located in the heart of downtown LA and was part of the extensive redevelopment near Staples Center. The ultra modern interior and exterior features of this 267 unit facility include exposed concrete construction and a very industrial look to the lighting and power installations. There was extensive use of exposed conduit work which added to the architectural look

An existing 200,000 sq. ft. facility was converted to accommodate a new tortilla factory. The work included new energy efficient lighting, a complete new dual fed service and extensive power distribution for the new process equipment. This project attained a LEED Silver certification as well as a NECA Award for Electrical Excellence for CSI.

Simply known as the Los Angeles Cathedral; CSI was chosen to install the complex energy management system on this landmark church which included a very challenging structure. This facility is built utilizing exposed aggregate concrete walls which required all conduits to be hidden in the walls. All conduits had to be placed with no tolerance for error while working side by side with the forming contractor.

A fast track tenant improvement project encompassing 145,000 sq. ft. with a completion schedule of three months; Extensive use of pre-fab and preconstruction planning were the tools needed to pull off this impossible schedule. The work involved a completely new lighting and control system as well as extensive reconfiguration of the power and distribution systems.

This new 5MW commercial grade solar plant is literally in the backyard of CSI’s Antelope Valley office. CSI was chosen to provide all electrical work required for the 20 Acre facility. The project consists of 24,000 sun tracking mirrors, 2- 65 ton solar receiving towers, and a steam Turbine generator. At completion, the facility will produce enough energy to power 4,000 homes in the Antelope Valley. This project was the winner of Power Engineering magazines 2009 “Best Renewable and Sustainable Project” of the year award.

The Center is a high-tech 37,000 sq. ft. facility designed to offer educational programs to local children grades 4 through 12. The building has 100 computer stations, a 200 seat auditorium and a 1,200 sq. ft. multi media center. In addition to the traditional electrical installation the building also features a curtain wall and roof top solar array. The facility was featured in California Construction Magazine as the project of the month.

This ultra chic 162 room hotel was converted from an existing abandoned hotel overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Santa Monica.  The work included a complete demolition of all existing lighting and power systems. All guest rooms and public areas were upgraded with the latest in lighting, power and high speed data lines. The existing hotel grounds were also upgraded with extensive lighting and landscaping. CSI received a NECA Award for Electrical Excellence for this project.

This new 180,000 sq. ft. facility will be the home to students studying in the fields of Osteopathic Medicine, Dentistry, Optometry and Podiatry. The construction included extensive power distribution for medical training equipment as well as highly efficient lighting, and extensive high speed network cabling for the lab rooms, class rooms and auditorium style lecture halls. CSI received a NECA Award for Electrical Excellence for this project.
