Transformers: The Ride 3D

As one of Los Angeles’ top tourist attractions, Universal Studios draws millions of people each year -- many of whom wait hours in line to experience Transformers™: The Ride 3D, “an immersive, next generation thrill ride that blurs the line between fiction and reality.”

Here, CSI Electrical Contractors enabled an on-time opening of a new attraction by providing essential electrical infrastructure, including a new high voltage substation and a new generator feeder for backup power and lighting.

CSI’s work enables four giant vertical transportation units (VTUs) to move the ride’s 10,000-pound cars seamlessly between two floors that showcase ten spectacular 3D scenes. Visitors journey on 1,000 feet of track that have hundreds of sensors and thousands of lights, all choreographed to make Transformers: The Ride 3D an unforgettable adventure.

CSI also provided electrical support for the ride’s beautifully decorated queue area, which winds through Universal Studios and contains dozens of flat screens detailing the thrills that ride-goers will soon experience.
